I really do hope the Biden admin takes action on this. However, I'd wager money they won't take any steps while they are still focused on getting the "Build Back Better" project passed. Holding people's squishy-bits in a clamp is generally a one-thing-at-a-time process. Too much at once and he'll lose both -- they'll get resentful and start pushing back for no other reason than petulance. Meanwhile, pushing the new VRA towards the "last minute" leaves little or not window for states like Texas, Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi to bring it before the Court.

That's a REALLY interesting strategy, Gares. Makes me think it may be their end game. They're just too mute on the subject--and I know they care. They have to care; otherwise, no Dems will get elected because of voting malfeasance and gerrymandering.

Well, clearly this is little more than a SWAG (Scientific Wild Ass Guess) on my part. But it seems to be a good case (as opposed to best) scenario. Even Manchin has expressed support for some form of voting rights effort.

The Southern States of America- Called "Gilead," no doubt, will be poor, corrupt, and thoroughly Jesusified. Women will be property, and sex will be a function of state diktat. If you were one of those who didn't see the harm in voting for Donald Trump...well, here's your sign, dumbass.

I just can't have my kids there. I can't. I have a big selfish stake in this.

Absolutely. As you should. I believe things will get worse before they get...worse.
