Complete with color photo gallery of embarrassed pooches. A creetchur mustn’t be allowed to loaf around expecting belly rubs. A creetchur has to earn its keep. What better way to say, “Amuse me, Clown” to your pudgy freeloader than a tight, itchy, degrading costume?
By the bye, while I laughed, I've got a serious issue with spiders. So if I'd encountered the "mutant giant spider dog," I'd have probably dropped a log in my nappies.
Scarlett O'Hara would be even funnier if there was a curtain rod through the shoulders -- Carol Burnett's send up of "Gone With The Wind" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFZavCkl9mY
I don't usually do well with comedy, because too often it is built around humiliating people. But while MvTR got a little maudlin in places, it never offended me, and gave me quite a few laughs. (It even stood up well on a second viewing.)
"What better way to say, “Amuse me, Clown” to your pudgy freeloader than a tight, itchy, degrading costume?" -- wait ... are you talking about the dogs or me?
I agree with you about the pushed in snouts. I really pity dogs without a proper long nose. It's *extremely bad for their health* and they really suffer from it.
I won't buy costumes for Rupert, but a Target-spawned Witch Hat was simply too tempting for me to pass up. Love and chuckles!
Thank you for putting a smile on my face today. It's a damp, grey, dreary day...and I needed that. :-)

And finally, there is this piece from one of the funniest films of the last couple years ("Mitchells vs. The Robots"): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2GjEvFUsYw
(So dress your Smushie up as a loaf of bread.)
If I'd seen that thing coming at me? I would have screamed loud enough to wake the dead!
I remember that GWTW sendup! Haven't seen Mitchells vs Robots though. I'll see if I can find it.

RUPERT HAS TO EARN HIS KIBBLE, you know!
