Damnit, I misread "nearealism" as "neoliberalism" like 3 times before I realized my mistake.
White telephones ... as product placement goes, that makes no sense to me.
LOL! I do stuff like that all the time! It's so annoying. And yes, those white telephones were associated with the kind of upper-echelon lifestyle nobody in Italy could afford at the time.
